UM Student Killed in Crash

By Beacon Staff

GREAT FALLS – A University of Montana student from Valier has died in a one-vehicle rollover crash near his home town.

The Pondera County sheriff’s office identified the victim as 22-year-old Quin Loendorf. A 21-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was injured in the crash early Wednesday.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper James Humiston says the crash is still under investigation. He says Loendorf’s car drifted off the road and rolled when he overcorrected.

Loendorf was about to start his senior year at UM’s Journalism School and had just finished a sports editing internship at The Denver Post. Loendorf had a second major in Japanese.
