Museum at Central School Holds Summer Movie Nights

By Beacon Staff

The Museum at Central School is showing monthly films for free, switching to the last Monday of each month for June, July and August only.

First up will be Monday, June 24, 7 p.m. with the film, “The Mouse That Roared” (1959) starring Peter Sellers.

The Museum’s film club normally screens free movies on the last Tuesday of each month, but for the summer months of June, July and August only, screenings switch to the last Monday to avoid conflict with Kalispell’s Tuesday night live music concerts in Depot Park. This summer’s film club theme is “Foreign Invasions”. Besides “The Mouse That Roared” June 24, summer screenings will include “King of Hearts” (1967) with Alan Bates on July 29, and The Beatles in “A Hard Day’s Night” (1964) on August 26.

Anyone may attend and there is no charge. Donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of acquiring and showing the films. The movie and popcorn are free, and wine, beer, pop and water will be for sale. Seating is provided, but people can also bring their own floor pillows, portable chairs, or whatever is comfortable for viewing the film.

The Museum at Central School is located at 124 2nd Avenue East in Kalispell. Call 756-8381 for more information.
