Multiple fires have started on the Glacier View Ranger District following a series of lightning storms, and one fire has grown to 15 acres in the mountains north of Polebridge.

A total of 145 personnel, including five 20-man crews, four helicopters and a fleet of single engine air tankers, are attacking the Hay Creek Complex, which is burning in steep, rugged terrain near Nasukoin Mountain.

The fire is burning in heavy timber and the fire behavior is single and group tree torching with occasional spotting, according to Flathead National Forest officials. The fire complex is approximately 10 percent contained.
