Colton Becker scored a pair of goals to lead Glacier past Billings Senior 2-0 in the first round of the Class AA soccer playoffs in Great Falls on Friday.
Both of Becker’s goals came within three minutes of each other late in the second half. Kade Deleray assisted on the first goal.
The Wolfpack advanced to Friday’s semifinal round match against Missoula Hellgate at 1:30 p.m. Flathead takes on Billings West in the consolation bracket at 11 a.m., Friday.
Bozeman defeated Flathead 6-2 in other first-round action. Bozeman plays Missoula Sentinel at 1:30 p.m., Friday.
In the girls’ state bracket, both Glacier and Flathead fell in opening-round matches. Great Falls C.M. Russell edged Glacier in a shootout. CMR outshot Glacier 4-2 in overtime penalty kicks.
Bozeman narrowly defeated Flathead 2-1. Stephanie Wilson scored early in the first half but Bozeman added two unanswered goals to seal the victory.
Glacier plays Helena at 11 a.m., Friday in the consolation bracket. Flathead plays Missoula Sentinel, also at 11 a.m.
