Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

2014 film festival debuts in Kalispell Nov. 18 and 19

The largest mountain culture film festival in the world is converging on Kalispell Nov. 18 and 19 as part of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour.

With stops planned in about 400 communities and 40 countries across the globe, this year’s tour features a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films from the festival.

Traveling to exotic landscapes and remote cultures, and bringing audiences up-close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the 2014-2015 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of mountain culture.

Hand-picked from approximately 350 films entered into the annual festival, a suite of award-winning films and audience favorites are among the films chosen to travel the globe.

Join Flathead Nordic Backcountry Patrol when the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour brings the spirit of outdoor adventure to the local community.

Films will be held at the Flathead High School Auditorium Tuesday, Nov. 18 and Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m., and will premiere on a new high-resolution projection screen.

Tickets can be purchased for $15 at the following sponsor retailers: Rocky Mountain Outfitters, Sportsman & Ski Haus in Kalispell and Whitefish, and The White Room and Runner Up Sports in Whitefish. Tickets are  $20 at the door the night of the shows.

The event is the Flathead Nordic Backcountry Patrol’s signature fundraiser of the year.
