Kalispell Teen Dies in Crash North of Flathead Lake

MHP reports that the driver lost control of the vehicle

A 17-year-old Kalispell boy died in a two-vehicle crash on icy Montana Highway 82 north of Flathead Lake.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the boy was eastbound at 4:45 p.m. Thursday when he lost control on the snow-covered and icy road and crossed the center line into the path of a westbound sport utility vehicle.

The boy was wearing a seat belt. His name hasn’t been released.

KCFW-TV reports the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
