FWP Investigating Illegal Killing of Elk Near Holland Lake

The poaching occurred either Monday night or Tuesday morning

State wildlife officers are investigating the illegal killing of an elk near Holland Lake south of Condon.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials said the poaching occurred either Monday night or Tuesday morning off Montana Highway 83.

FWP Game Warden Chuck Bartos is seeking information from the public. Callers can remain anonymous and potentially receive a reward for providing information that leads to a conviction. Call Bartos at 253-2934 or call 1-800-TIP-MONT.
