The Flathead Beacon Foundation, a division of Flathead Beacon Productions, donated $23,500 to various nonprofits in 2014.

Those receiving money include the Flathead County Library Foundation, Kidsports, Dream Adaptive, North Valley Hospital Foundation, The Flathead Youth Home, Montana Wounded Warrior Project, Literacy Volunteers of Flathead County, The Violence Free Crisis Line, Whitefish Legacy Partners and Friends of the Bigfork Fire Department.

“It is an honor to give back to the Flathead,” Lance Fahrney, general manager, said. “The entire staff at the Flathead Beacon is proud to be part of this community.”

Added Editor in Chief Kellyn Brown: “We’re lucky to live in this valley and fortunate to be able to give a back to some of the amazing organizations we share it with.”
