Pig Concerns

7:45 a.m. Two runaway retrievers were picked up in Columbia Falls and returned to their owner.

8:09 a.m. Reportedly, a man on a green dirt bike was “popping wheelies” and weaving in and out of traffic on Third Avenue East. He was wearing a helmet.

9:07 a.m. Someone spotted an elusive border collie on Saint Andrews Drive.

9:47 a.m. Two “wild” dogs were spotted eating a dead animal on Foothill Road.

12:52 p.m. An employee of a local store reported that a woman stole 48 lighters, disposable cameras, numerous air fresheners, malt liquor, sunglasses, food and some aluminum foil.

12:52 p.m. Hound dogs in Martin City have been barking for years.

2:19 p.m. A Columbia Falls resident complained that the neighbor’s fence bowed out a couple of inches across property lines and into his yard. He was advised that this was not considered criminal activity.

3:50 p.m. A report was made regarding underfed pigs in Columbia Falls. The pigs were fat, happy and eating when an animal warden arrived.

5:36 p.m. A Kalispell woman reported that her ex-boyfriend threatened to “destroy” her vehicle.

6:03 p.m. A man wearing a black face mask was seen walking down U.S. Highway 2 in Evergreen.
