Polson Drops Frenchtown in Challenge Game, Advances to State

Polson advanced to the Class A state tournament, March 12-14 in Bozeman

Andrew Curley erupted for 26 points, Payton Lefthand added 10 and the Polson Pirates eliminated the Frenchtown Broncs 52-42 in a Class A challenge game on Monday night.

Polson advanced to the Class A state tournament, March 12-14 in Bozeman. The Pirates will play Dillon at 6:30 p.m.

Tanner Wilson had nine points and Matthew Rensvold chipped in six and Polson outscored Frenchtown 21-6 in the fourth quarter.

Bridger Truett led the Broncs with 19 points and Austin Mears had 15.

In other challenge games, Laurel defeated Miles City, 67-60 in the Eastern A contest and Havre beat Livinston 60-41 in the Central A contest.
