As one of the premier literary journals in Montana, the Whitefish Review continues to evolve. On May 29, the journal released its 17th issue, “Mythic Beasts and Monsters.”

For its release, the journal hosted a party in Whitefish, which included readings from contributing authors, such as Jack Turner, author of “The Abstract Wild,” who read from an essay about the monster of technology in the modern world.

Local renowned poet Lowell Jaeger read from his new book of poetry, and emerging writer Ben Polley read from his essay published in the journal about the monsters beneath the lake in the winter.

As a literary journal, the Whitefish Review takes pride in giving emerging authors a chance to get their voices out there, as well as involving such established authors as Rick Bass and Doug Chadwick.
