Free-Range Dogs

9:49 a.m. A resident on Solberg Drive reported that the neighbor has eighteen cats and two dogs, all of whom unapologetically use the caller’s lawn as their own personal restroom.

1:24 p.m. One dog was loose on Mission Trail Way.

1:43 p.m. A man on West Valley Drive complained that the neighbor’s dogs are constantly loose and frequently chase every member of his family.

1:52 p.m. A man with a history of bad behavior stole one can of malt liquor from a gas station on Highway 2 East.

5:47 p.m. A man on Birch Grove reported that the neighbor kids shot out the solar panel on his electric fence.

8:03 p.m. Someone called from Highway 40 West to report that the driver of black Jeep-type vehicle passed in a no-passing zone.

8:05 p.m. A Bigfork resident reported that the neighborhood “hippies,” who live in box dwellings, own one very bad free-range dog. Apparently, the dog has killed several of his chickens and was recently seen carrying a dead swan.

9:14 p.m. A Columbia Falls resident called in to discuss their neighbor’s suspicious activities.

9:26 p.m. Someone called from Highway 2 West to report that dump trucks drove past his residence at all hours of the night and, at the time of the call, they were at it again.

1:27 a.m. A man on Hathaway Lane reported that a German shepherd was outside barking at him.
