Moose Spotting

8:30 a.m. A Maple Drive resident reported that someone broke in and stole his blue denim shirt and laptop.

9:39 a.m. A Bigfork woman reported that she was going to give her intoxicated neighbor a ride to work, but when she asked him to buckle up he threw her keys out of the car and dumped beer on her.

12:08 p.m. A drunken driver was spotted on Shady Lane.

4:28 p.m. Someone stole a cigarette urn from outside a building on Highway 2 East.

5:06 p.m. Someone called from Evergreen to report that an intoxicated man was drooling on the bench he fell asleep on.

7:41 p.m. A man on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse reported that a man on a BMX bicycle lit a firework in the middle of the road.

7:47 p.m. A bull moose was spotted sleeping along the railroad tracks near Office Max in Evergreen.

11:21 p.m. Someone complained that two vehicles were racing up and down the South Fork Road. The caller worried they would crash and start a fire.

12:04 a.m. A Kalispell man reported that it’s not uncommon for kids dressed in black to roam the neighborhood at night. He found some tires that had been pushed across the highway and believes the creepy children are responsible.
