‘Open Portfolios’ at the Hockaday

By Beacon Staff

Join the Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell as it ventures into contemporary realism with the exhibit “Open Portfolios,” running from Sept. 10 through Oct. 31.

The exhibit will feature Rosella Mosteller’s web portfolios – Touch of Nature, Seasonal Flakes, and Winter Writing – in person and online. Framed photos will be featured, and viewers will be granted permission to use their mobile devices to compare and contrast Mosteller’s work online and the prints on hanging on the Hockaday’s walls.

Her awards include the San Francisco Academy of Art University summer portfolio grant (2007), a Talbots Scholarship (2007), and the School of the Art Institute Chicago merit scholarship (1999-2001). Her work is also in the permanent collection at the Wave in Whitefish.

Mosteller will speak at 4 p.m. on Sept. 17, just before the opening reception held at 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.hockadaymuseum.org or call 406-755-5268.
