The Oct. 8 pint night at the Great Northern Brewing Company in Whitefish is supporting the Northern Rockies Avalanche Safety Workshop, a non-profit formed to raise awareness about how to be safe in the backcountry come winter. The brewery will donate $1 from every pint sold that night to the workshop. This year’s workshop event is being held on Oct. 17 at the Grouse Mountain Lodge. The daylong event features speakers and presentations about avalanche safety and awareness.
