Free-Falling Cat

8:54 a.m. Someone set off all of the fire extinguishers and spray painted the heavy equipment on Aluminum Drive in Columbia Falls.

9:27 a.m. A man on Mountain Meadow Drive called 911 to report that another man sassed him when he told him he couldn’t cut trees down on private property. The man was chopping trees on Forest Service property and no crime was committed.

12:33 p.m. Someone witnessed a man in a big white truck swerving slowly through the West Glacier area. The caller also thought that there was writing on the truck, possibly reading “PBR… or something.”

1:53 p.m. A Hungry Horse woman called in to complain about the neighbor’s old black lab and its bad habits.

5:03 p.m. A Kalispell man reported that his neighbor attempted, but failed, to run him over.

6:41 p.m. Reportedly, a man on Daley Lane tossed his cat into the air, but made no attempt to catch it on its descent. The cat was uninjured.

9:27 p.m. A man on Harmony Road called 911 to ask if he would be charged with assault if he were to hit a man in the head with baseball bat if that man happened to be in his backyard stealing his lawnmower. When asked if this had occurred or was occurring at the time of the call the man said no, that this only was a hypothetical situation and hung up.
