Museum at Central School hosts ‘Flathead Wild’

By Molly Priddy

The Museum at Central School will host an exhibit about the beauty of the Flathead Valley in an attempt to promote the expansion of the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.

“Flathead Wild” is an art exhibit featuring the work from six artists who, in the summer of 2012, camped, hiked, and sketched their impressions of the proposed new area of the national park.

Conservation groups in Canada and Montana, including Headwaters Montana and the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative, teamed up to bring award-winning conservationist Harvey Locke to speak at the exhibit’s opening on Nov. 12.

The exhibit will be on display at the museum until spring 2016. For more information, visit www.yourmuseum.org, or call 406-781-8381. For more information on Y2Y, visit www.y2y.net.
