Glacier Symphony and Chorale to Perform ‘Messiah’

By Molly Priddy

In what has become a holiday-season mainstay in the Flathead, the talented musicians with the Glacier Symphony and Chorale will perform Handel’s powerhouse “Messiah” choral piece.

Shows will take place on Friday, Dec. 11 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Bigfork; Dec. 12 at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center; and Dec. 13 at Flathead High School for a matinee performance.

“Messiah” is usually performed during the Easter season, but GSC’s shorter Christmas version includes all the hits, including “And the Glory of the Lord” and “He Shall Purify” before the ever-popular “Hallelujah Chorus.”

Tickets are available in ranges of price and seating; for more information, visit www.gscmusic.org or call the box office at 406-407-7000.
