Dickey’s Barbecue Pit to Open in Kalispell

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, a barbecue restaurant chain based in Dallas, Texas, is opening in Kalispell later this spring.

Developers submitted building plans to the city last week and work is expected to begin soon redeveloping the former J.D. Morrell’s restaurant in Hutton Ranch. J.D. Morrell’s closed last month.

The nation’s largest barbecue chain already boasts over 530 locations in 43 states and is one of the fastest growing franchise concepts nationwide. The Kalispell restaurant will be the third Dickey’s in Montana, alongside restaurants in Missoula and Billings. The restaurants are open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The barbecue franchise offers a selection of signature meats, homestyle sides, tangy barbecue sauce and free kids’ meals every Sunday. Catering is also available.
