Organizers Seeking Volunteers for All-Night High School Graduation Party

The Cross-Town Craze takes place at The Summit Medical Fitness Center on June 4

By Beacon Staff

Organizers for the Cross-Town Craze are seeking volunteers and other support for the annual all-night high school graduation party in Kalispell.

The Cross-Town Craze is a parent-led and parent-organized party that has been supported by the community for over 40 years as a safe and sober evening dedicated to the well-being of all of the graduating students of Kalispell school district. The Cross-Town Craze takes place at The Summit Medical Fitness Center from 9 p.m. – 3 a.m. on Saturday, June 4.

Planning for this event began in September 2015 and continues with regular meetings. Lead organizers are the parents of the Glacier and Flathead senior class presidents and include an open, flexible team of about 25-30 senior parents. Managing the night of the party will require more than 100 dedicated volunteers, according to organizers.

Organizers are seeking anyone who might want to help run the event, including managing food, games, fundraising, setup and cleanup, security and event-night coverage.

Parents began contacting local businesses and sponsors for donations in November, and fundraising will continue through June to ensure that there is enough resources to draw as many seniors as possible to the party.

Other fundraising events include the 50/50 split the pot raffles at the cross-town basketball games and the 30 for $30 pass with The Summit, which is going on right now. Vouchers for $30 allow people 18 years old and up to use The Summit for 30 consecutive days. Vouchers are on sale now through May 31 and must be used by July 31.

30 for $30 passes can be purchased at Super One in Kalispell and Evergreen, Universal Sports at 284 N. Meridian, and Insty-Prints at 131 Main St. in Kalispell.

All donations are tax deductible and can be mailed to Cross-Town Craze 2016, PO Box 8313, Kalispell MT, 59904.
