One of the best opportunities to get the whole family excited for summertime fishing is back.
The Flathead Fishing Fair will be held Saturday, April 30 at Snappys Sport Senter from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is sponsored by Snappys Sport Senter and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
The Fishing Fair offers a fun opportunity for youths age 12 and younger in Snappys Pond as well as educational activities for all ages. Kids are welcome to bring their own fishing rods; some loaner fishing outfits and bait will be available along with fishing assistance.
The Fishing Fair also offers the opportunity for participants to tie their own spinner or fly, practice fish identification, casting contests, and other kid activities. There will be representatives from local fishing groups to provide tips on where-to and how-to fish in the Flathead for a variety of species.
