The organizers of The Event at Rebecca Farm are seeking volunteers to help at this summer’s event.

This year’s equestrian triathlon is July 21-24 at Rebecca Farm west of Kalispell.

Volunteers can choose from a long list of positions to suit their particular interests and skills, including those that require specific horse experience. Most volunteer opportunities do not require experience.

“The volunteers are the heartbeat of this event,” said Sarah Broussard, event organizer. “We’re grateful for every person who recognizes the positive impact The Event has on our community and jumps in to make it happen. This year, we hope to see many new faces and old friends volunteering for The Event at Rebecca Farm.”

The Event is the largest equestrian triathlon in the country and one of the biggest in the world, drawing hundreds of riders and over 10,000 spectators annually.

In recent years, The Event at Rebecca Farm has attracted upwards of 400 volunteers but with continual growth and goals to build on a culture of excellence, organizers hope to get 500 volunteers in 2016.
