The title defense is off to a good start for the Glacier Wolfpack.

Ali Williams struck out 16 batters, Anna Schrade had two home runs and three RBI and the Pack blanked Billings West 6-0 in Thursday’s opening round of the Class AA state softball tournament in Kalispell.

The game was delayed at Conrad Complex due to weather and eventually the entire tournament was moved to Kidsports Complex. Administrators plan to hold the remaining games at Kidsports.

The 4 p.m. games were moved to 8 a.m. on Friday with the regulalr schedule to resume at 10 a.m.

In other action, Great Falls C.M. Russell defeated Helena, 6-2.
