On a regional basis, the number of commercial sales reported increased by 16 percent in 2015

In recent years, Flathead County has had the largest share of commercial real estate transactions of any of the counties that have been reported through the Realtor’s Montana Regional MLS system.

In 2015, there were 181 sales reported and 76 (42 percent) were in Flathead County. The total dollar volume reported was $88,993,672, with $31,815,165 (36 percent) in the Flathead.

Since the beginning of 2005, there have been 1,742 sales reported with a total dollar volume of $721,561,360. Over that 10-year period, 37 percent of the sales and 40 percent of the dollar volume have been in Flathead County.

On a regional basis, the number of sales reported increased by 16 percent in 2015 and the dollar volume increased by 31 percent, from $68 million to nearly $89 million.

Reliable statistical data on commercial sales is difficult to track because a relatively high number of commercial transactions occur outside the Realtor’s MLS system.
