Medley Wins Whitefish Lake Golf Club’s Fourth of July Tournament

Missoula's Sadie Crippen won the women's championship flight by one stroke over her sister, Maggie

Andrew Medley of Scottsdale, Arizona went birdie on hole 17 and eagled the 18th to win the 80th annual Earl Hunt Memorial 4th of July tournament at Whitefish Lake Golf Club.

Medley, 26, finished the three-day tournament with 72-71-70 — 213 to win by one stroke in the men’s championship flight.

Mark Mance of Whitefish placed second, 70-71-73 — 214. Rob Bergeson of Billings was third, 72-73-70 — 215. Libby’s Ryggs Johnston tied for third, 74-71-70 — 215.

Missoula’s Sadie Crippen won the women’s championship flight by one stroke over her sister, Maggie.

Sadie shot 72-71-78 — 221. Maggie shot 68-78-76 — 222. Hailey Hoagland of Butte also tied for second, 75-69-78 — 222.

Kalispell Teigan Avery placed fourth, 80-74-69 — 223.

Lilly Carroll of Whitefish won the senior mens championship by 10 strokes. He shot 71-69-69 — 209.

Keith Woznesensky of Columbia Falls placed second, 74-75-70 — 219.

The 4th of July Tournament is one of the premier golf tournaments in the region on an annual basis.
