Kalispell’s Taylor Reed, training out of Big Sky Martial Arts, qualified the U.S. National Senior team this year. Reed competed at the national competition last month and qualified for the national team two years after making the junior team. Reed defeated Hama Alzouma, an Olympian from Nigeria, to win the team spot.

Big Sky Martial Arts also had three other athletes qualify for U.S. Team Trials. Adam Bartlett, who made the cadet team last year, is now going for the junior National Team. Thomas Reed and Cheyenne Arndt will also travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for U.S. Team trials on Sept 9-11.
