Libby Man Killed in Crash Near Dillon

Beaverhead County Coroner Ron Briggs says Ronald Dean Willey of Libby was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene

DILLON — A 23-year-old Libby man was killed in a weekend rollover crash on Highway 287 west of Dillon.

The Montana Highway Patrol tells The Montana Standard the man and a 25-year-old woman were in the car when it went off the road after the driver overcorrected on a left turn near Polaris at about 3 a.m. Sunday. Neither was wearing a seatbelt.

Beaverhead County Coroner Ron Briggs says Ronald Dean Willey of Libby was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The woman walked to a nearby residence for help.

The patrol says it was unclear who was driving.
