Whitefish Girls Secure Conference Soccer Title, Host Playoff Match

Senior Haley Nicholson has scored 27 goals

The Whitefish girls soccer team (9-3, 7-1) won the Northern A conference for the first time since 2013 and will host Belgrade (7-3-2) at noon on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The Bulldogs have outscored opponents 38-15 this season, led by senior Haley Nicholson, who has scored 27 goals, tied for most in Montana, and tallied seven assists.

Polson (9-2-1, 6-1-1) landed the No. 2 seed in Northern A and will travel to Hamilton (10-1-1) on Saturday for a noon matchup.

Columbia Falls (7-4-1, 4-3-1) finished third in the conference standings and will play at Billings Central (11-1) on Saturday.

Corvallis (7-4-1) square off against Loyola (4-8) on Oct. 11, and the winner plays Laurel (8-2-2) on Saturday.
