Highway 2 Reopened Near Nyack Following Trailer Accident

U.S. Highway 2 near Nyack has reopened after crews cleared the roadway following an accident Monday morning.

The Montana Department of Transportation announced the closure around 10 a.m. and said the highway was reopened around 11:30 a.m. The status of the person or persons involved in the crash is unknown at this time.

According to state transportation officials, a truck hauling a 20-foot trailer with four-wheelers slid off the highway. Recovery efforts forced the closure at milepost 164.8 east of West Glacier near Nyack.

Fog and slick road conditions have been reported on area highways.
