Kalispell will host a variety of high school state tournaments in the coming years.

The Montana High School Association on April 11 announced the future dates and sites for state championship activities through spring of 2019.

The MHSA also announced that it was moving this spring’s Class A and Class C state track meet from Missoula to Laurel, May 26-27. Missoula’s track is undergoing renovations, and current and predicted weather conditions made it impossible to determine the exact date of completion of the new track surface, MHSA officials said.

Next fall Buffalo Hill Golf Club will host the Class AA state golf tournament, Sept. 25-30, 2017. That spring, the Class AA state tennis tournament will come to town, May 17-18, 2018.

The Class AA speech and debate state tournament will be held in Kalispell, Jan. 25-26, 2019.

The Class AA and Class B state track and field meet will be held at Legends Stadium, May 24-25, 2019.

Polson will host the Class A state softball tournament, May 23-25, 2019.

Also of note, the Class A boys and girls state basketball tournaments will be held at the same site starting in 2019. The combined tourney will be in Great Falls, March 7-9.
