BOZEMAN — The Department of Corrections will decide where a Bozeman woman will serve her sentence for failing to protect her young son from being badly injured in May 2015.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports 24-year-old Hannah Moore was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in the department’s custody with six suspended for felony criminal endangerment. She was given credit for the 212 days she spent in jail.

Moore’s 21-month-old son suffered a fractured skull, bleeding on the brain and a lacerated liver, among other inju

ries. She lost her parental rights.

Prosecutors say at the time the boy was injured Moore was using illegal drugs. No one was been charged with abusing the boy. Court records say Moore and her boyfriend at the time gave investigators various stories about how the boy might have been injured.
