Irish Olympian Michael Conlan stopped Kenny Guzman in the second round of a nationally televised fight in Tucson, Arizona on Sept. 22. The featherweight fight was televised on ESPN from the Tucson Convention Center.

Conlan, a highly touted professional from Belfast, landed a solid right hand at 2:59 of the second round. Guzman, a professional fighter from West Valley, managed to climb to his feet, but the judge stopped the fight after determining Guzman should not go on. It was Guzman’s first defeat in four matches.
