Snow Bear Chalets, ski-in/ski-out treehouses located on the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort, have been name by Time Magazine one of its 2018 world’s greatest places.

The list highlights 100 destinations that are breaking new ground and offer visitors an extraordinary experience. The magazine solicited nominations from around the world and across a variety of categories, including museums, parks, restaurants and hotels.

The chalets offer luxury accommodations and access to hiking and mountain biking in the summer world-class skiing in the winter. Snow Bear is the dream of Gail Goodwin of Whitefish.

“I wanted to build a magical place that would bring out the inner child in our guests. In all of our architectural and design decisions, from the sparkly Cambria Quartz countertops to the soaring turret, from the cantilevered master bedroom to the ‘Disney bark’ on the trees, every decision had to meet the criteria of maintaining the whimsical, storybook feel,” Goodwin said.
