Flathead, Columbia Falls, Whitefish and Bigfork have all locked up playoff spots, while Glacier moved one step closer to a postseason berth of its own after a busy week of action.

In Class AA, Glacier put away Missoula Big Sky with a 34-14 victory on Oct. 18 at Legends Stadium. The Wolfpack (4-5) is one of five teams tied for sixth place in Class AA with one week of the regular season remaining. Only the top eight teams will reach the playoffs. Flathead (7-2) will be among those eight teams and strengthened its position on Oct. 19 with a 62-23 blowout of Missoula Hellgate. Glacier concludes the regular season Oct. 25 at Hellgate while Flathead will host Helena on Oct. 26.

The regular season ended in Class A and B on Oct. 19, and both Columbia Falls (62-8 vs. Polson) and Bigfork (41-14 at Deer Lodge) cruised to wins. Whitefish (5-4) was not so lucky, falling 28-24 in Libby, but the Bulldogs still managed to lock up a playoff spot.

Northwest A conference champion Columbia Falls (7-1) will get a bye into the state quarterfinals while Whitefish must travel to Dillon on Friday, Oct. 26 in the Class A playoffs. That game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. In Class B, Bigfork (7-1) will host Townsend on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1 p.m.
