Following one of the driest springs
on record in Kalispell, Flathead Lake is two feet below its full pool, threatening drought response by the managers of Kerr Dam, and forecasters are predicting an in- tense fire season.
A rainstorm last weekend benefited
the dry conditions and a heavy storm warning was predicted for June 1-2. Near- ly an inch of rain was predicted in the val- ley and flash-flood warnings were issued for the Glacier Park area.
