MONDAY 8/11
9:32 a.m. A girl called from the Kila area to report that her boyfriend’s parents locked her out of their house, forcing her to sleep in the barn.
She wondered if there were laws
concerning this type of treatment. 11:32 a.m. A resident on Fairview Drive
heard fighting in the apartment next door and someone scream “get out of my room!” A deputy discovered that two teenaged siblings had been left alone to defend their bedrooms by whatever means possible. No one was physically injured and the parents returned home during their lunch breaks.
11:41 a.m. Someone found an old chest full of toys on Wild Horse Island.
12:16 p.m. A man was found passed out in a dumpster.
1:15 p.m. Someone scribbled “Bobby!” with a Sharpie across a garage door on East Idaho Street.
2:41 p.m. A Bigfork man reported that a woman bumped into one of his sheep while she was driving through the neighborhood and playing with her phone.
6:30 p.m. An Antelope Trail resident reported that his neighbors threw apples at his house.
TUESDAY 8/12
10:49 a.m. A woman on Solberg Drive complained that the neighbor’s
cat is irritating, lawless, and has
an unhealthy fascination with her chickens.
11:18 a.m. A resident on Rhodes Draw reported that the neighbor man dumped a pile of rocks on his side of the property line.
12:12 p.m. A Hungry Horse man complained that his neighbor threw a rock at him.
12:27 p.m. An incident involving an unwanted Chihuahua occurred at the animal shelter on Cemetery Road.
5:16 p.m. A Stag Lane resident found his neighbor’s bills shredded and strewn about the street.
8:26 p.m. A woman on Haydens View worried that her neighbor’s newly installed speed bumps would be
a problem if she were to need an ambulance.
10:03 p.m. A local man believes his kids are smoking pot.
WEDNESDAY 8/13
9:33 a.m. A local man is missing his custom ear plugs.
1 p.m. A Rest Haven Drive resident reported that one particular driver habitually drives in excess of 40 miles per hour. He claimed that if something
isn’t done about this speeder then he
will have to do something himself. 1:18 p.m. A Bigfork girl called 911 after
locking herself in a dog kennel while
trying to herd chickens.
3:07 p.m. A local man discovered that
someone took his boat out on the lake and damaged it, but was kind enough to return it.
5:17 p.m. Numerous calls were made about a shoeless drunken man walking down the center lane of Highway 35 in Bigfork. One caller nearly hit him and another requested permission to tackle him.
THURSDAY 8/14
8:13 a.m. A man driving down East Reserve Drive reported that another man in a small red car cut him off and pointed a gun in his direction.
10:04 a.m. A small shaggy dog was rooting around near the garbage behind a fast food restaurant in Kalispell.
11:26 a.m. An irritated resident on Swan Hill Drive complained that his neighbor habitually places large rocks in the road.
1:45 p.m. A man on Highway 35 in Kalispell reported that another man chained his motorcycle to a tree and has refused to give it back.
2:02 p.m. A large man with shoulder- length hair was seen waving a pistol in the air on Highway 35 in Kalispell. He was last seen scurrying off behind one of the trailers.
5:04 p.m. Two happy black Labs
were on the run on Middle Road in Columbia Falls. The caller has heard rumors that the dogs are actually vicious.
6:39 p.m. Reportedly, a man in a straw cowboy hat refused to pay the entry fee to the county fair.
6:48 p.m. A cat has been in a tree on Fawn Trail near Whitefish for two days.
7:37 p.m. Reportedly, half a dozen boys gathered for a fight in the parking lot at the fairgrounds.
SUNDAY 8/17
1:57 p.m. Someone on Holt Drive is missing two full gas cans.
2:37 p.m. Reportedly, a tattooed
man with an “Abe Lincoln beard” approached numerous elderly women on Highway 2 East and asked for gas money.
3:38 p.m. A resident on Farm to Market complained that neighborhood sounds like a “war zone” due to one neighbor’s fascinations with fireworks.
6:50 p.m. A naked man was spotted near El Rancho Road.
Probably healthy.
