Montana and Ohio Senators Team Up to Raise Money

Montana Sen. Jon Tester and Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown have formed a committee that will allow them to hold joint fundraisers. <a href="http://blog.cleveland.com/openers/2009/04/ohios_sherrod_brown_and_montan.html" title="From the Cleveland Plain Dealer“>From the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

WASHINGTON — You don’t think about Ohio and Montana in the same breath. Ohio doesn’t have mountains. Or grizzly bears. Or Yellowstone. Montana doesn’t have people.

But Democratic Sens. Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Jon Tester of Montana are teaming up to raise money for their — and others’ — political future. They formed a new campaign committee, the Ohio/Montana Victory Fund, recent filings with the Federal Election Commission show.

The Plain Dealer points out that Ohio/Montana committee hasn’t raised any money yet. But the Democratic senators aren’t up for reelection until 2012 and have each begun raising money on their own.
