How to: Dress for Date Night

By Beacon Staff

“Summertime and the living is easy” are the lyrics that play in my head when the sun is out, like it was this last week. It has been so beautiful and what perfect weather to have date night. It doesn’t get any better than sitting on a patio by the lake with your special someone. But to make it more special, add a little spice to your night by taking your outfit up a notch.

Ladies, go for something super romantic like an A-line bold skirt with a print or solid top to match. Bring some bling to the ensemble with a metallic sandal. Don’t forget about your accessories, which are key to dressing up your outfit. If you’re going to do a high neck top wear, a chandelier earring or if you have a scoop neck top try a beaded necklace to complement the tones in the skirt. For the most essential part of the outfit, a metallic clutch would be to die for with this look. Overall, it is super flirty and a great way to start your night!

Guys, I love to see you get dressed up, too. I know it’s easy to just throw on a T-shirt and shorts, but there is no reason you can’t liven up your look with some color or fabric change. Try a salmon or melon color shirt for this time of year, it is refreshing and beautiful on tanned skin. Or go for the most classic look and pair a linen shirt with a dark wash jean. This will definitely make your lady melt, enjoy your evening!
