Curb Style

By Beacon Staff

On Tuesday evening, I went to the Whitefish Farmers’ Market to check out the produce and goodies provided by local shops and vendors. I came across many beautiful finds like handmade jewelry, home decor, and other great gifts. Not only did I see great gifts but I found great style. I found a local who was willing to model her look for me and discuss her style:

Lea has lived in Whitefish for a few years now and is inspired by hippie nouveau style. She loves color, I can wear almost any color because of my dark hair and fair skin. Lea is attracted to embroidered pieces, especially those that have a vintage look. I am glad it is summer so I can wear more dresses and skirts that have a feminine flair. I guess I just like clothes that are colorful, flowy, have patterns and make me look cute!

She was shopping the market for fresh veggies but also picked up a new item to add to her jewelry box. Lea bought a pair of earrings from Mary at Eco Art Designs. What is so unique about Mary’s brand is that she recycles magazines and turns them into earrings, necklaces, whatever she can. Lea’s one-of-a-kind earrings are from National Geographic pages, which give the accessory a unique look. So next week stop by the Whitefish Farmers’ Market and check out all the fabulous vendors!
