The Heritage Days folks in Columbia Falls are looking for a few more volunteers to help with the big celebration coming up at the end of July.
On Monday, July 6, a volunteer meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Glacier Discovery Square. The HD Committee will be coordinating folks for the following work: barricade and set-up monitors; parade lineup; vendor setup; GDS maintenance and cleanup (interior/exterior); Marantette Park events; and more. Organizers ask that you come to tonight’s meeting to volunteer to help with this great event, but if you can’t make it, and would still like to be involved contact Matt at [email protected].
The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce is also looking for help with the event’s three-on-three basketball tournament, including basket monitors and help putting up corporate sponsor banners. Please contact Bill Brunett at 892-0681 if you or someone in your business could help by being a basket monitor.
Also, if your business would be interested in sponsoring a team for $50 even if you may not have any employees interested in playing, the chamber says there is always kids in need of sponsors. Registration forms can be picked up at Orthopedic Rehab or by going to www.cfallsheritagedays.com (select registration forms tab and then scroll down to 3 on 3 to print the registration form). The deadline is July 21.
