Condition of Rehberg State Director Improving

By Beacon Staff

HELENA – U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg’s state director is improving from the brain injury he suffered two weeks ago in a late-night boat crash on Flathead Lake.

Dustin Frost’s family says his condition is steadily improving. He is now ready to begin rehabilitation and will be transferred from the Kalispell hospital to a medical center in Missoula, the family said in a statement Thursday.

Frost was the most seriously injured in the boat crash.

Rehberg returned to work this week in Washington D.C. following surgery for a broken ankle. He is getting around with the aid of a walker and crutches.

The driver, state Sen. Greg Barkus of Kalispell, is recovering from significant injuries of his own. Authorities have zeroed in on alcohol as a factor, but have not yet filed any charges.
