By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – A small plane used by a college for flight training crash landed at Billings Logan International Airport, but its two passengers escaped injury.

Airport operations supervisor Shane Ketterling says the single-engine plane’s landing gear collapsed shortly after landing about 11:15 a.m. Monday.

Ketterling said the Beechcraft Bonanza is used by Rocky Mountain College for flight training.

He described the two men on the plane as being a flight instructor and an examiner.

An ambulance was initially called to the scene but was canceled when neither men appeared to be injured.

The airport was not closed and no flights were delayed.
