Christmas at Their House: Dinner with the 495th

By Beacon Staff

In an effort to thank the Flathead community for continued support, the 495th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion of the Montana Army National Guard will host their 20th annual “Christmas at Our House” celebration this Saturday.

This year’s dinner will be held on Saturday, December 12th, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Kalispell Armed Forces Reserve Center, 2989 Highway 93 North in Kalispell. The event provides everyone in with a free turkey or ham dinner – a special way to help the folks there celebrate the holidays.

Santa will also be visiting (he’s a busy guy this year!) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. He’ll be handing out toys and candy to all the children. That sounds like a pretty fun afternoon to me!

Beacon photographer Lido Vizzutti put together a great slide show from last year’s dinner; it really is a community event.

If anything, maybe just stop by to say hello and thank you to the men and women serving in our local armed forces – they deserve it.
