Former Sen. Burns Remains in ICU After Stroke

HELENA –The family of former Sen. Conrad Burns says he remains hospitalized in intensive care and doctors told them he made slight improvements throughout the night.

The update was released Friday by Rep. Denny Rehberg, R-Mont.

Burns suffered an irregular heart rhythm and stroke Wednesday night at his home in Arlington, Va. He is hospitalized in Washington, D.C.

The statement says the family is grateful for the prayers and words of encouragement they have received.
