The Lakeside Community Council will decide on Feb. 23 whether to send the Lakeside neighborhood plan to the county for approval.
The council is asking for community input on the plan in its latest form, which can be found on both the Lakeside Neighborhood Plan Committee and the Flathead County Planning and Zoning Office Web sites.
The LNPC finalized numerous changes in the plan based on recommendations given from the Flathead County Planning Board during an Oct. 7 workshop session. The changes also take input from Citizens for a Better Flathead and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks into consideration, as well as the withdrawal of phases 5 through 9 of the Eagle’s Crest subdivision project.
The council voted to accept the latest version of the plan on Jan. 26 and may recommend more changes at the Feb. 23 meeting based on community input. If the council decides to send the plan to the county level, the county planning board may choose to hold more work sessions or schedule a public hearing to vote to send its recommendation to the Flathead County Commissioners.
Letters or e-mails regarding the plan can be sent to [email protected] or to P.O. Box 157, Lakeside 59922.
