POLSON – A 28-year-old Polson man has been arrested after a 3-month-old baby was taken to the hospital with injuries consistent with having been shaken.

Polson Police Chief Doug Chase says a woman took her infant daughter to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after returning home from work to find the baby listless.

Detective Alan Booth says the infant appeared to have bruising on her face consistent with having been shaken. The baby was flown to a hospital in Spokane, Wash., for treatment. Hospital officials say she was alert and smiling on Wednesday morning.

Christopher Huntsman was arrested and jailed on suspicion of criminal endangerment, aggravated assault and assault on a minor. The Lake County attorney will determine what, if any, charges are filed.
