Eureka Woman Dies in Early Morning Accident

A 19-year-old Eureka woman died early Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 2 between Kalispell and Columbia Falls.

At about 12:50 a.m., authorities responded to the accident. The victim, who was the only occupant, had been ejected from her vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of the other vehicle, a man who was also driving alone, was transported to the hospital.

Montana Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident and the victim’s name was not released pending notification to her family.
