A 27-year-old Columbia Falls man has been charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence for a crash that killed a Eureka woman.
Tyrone Stallcup made an initial appearance Tuesday in Justice Court. He is also charged with criminal endangerment. His District Court arraignment is scheduled for March 4.
Court records say Stallcup was driving drunk on U.S. Highway 2 near Columbia Falls early on Feb. 12 when he tried to pass a car, sideswiped it and caused a crash that killed the car’s driver, 19-year-old Lakeisha Thibault.
Prosecutors say Stallcup’s blood-alcohol level was 0.27. Court records say people who were at the bar where Stallcup was drinking asked him not to drive and that he refused a ride home.
