BOZEMAN – Montana State University is reporting a record spring enrollment of 12,001 students.
MSU vice president of student affairs Allen Yarnell says MSU had a record number of freshmen in the fall and the school has been working on retention.
School officials say spring enrollment is normally 91 percent of the fall enrollment, but this spring’s enrollment is 94 percent of the fall enrollment.
MSU’s full-time equivalency is 9,988 students. An FTE represents 15 undergraduate or 12 graduate semester credits.
The University of Montana also reported record spring enrollment of 14,622, which includes students at the college of technology.
