Hammers for Haiti

By Beacon Staff

More folks in the Flathead are offering up their time and resources to send aid to Haiti; I’ve already written about efforts involving coffee and musicians, and if you’re thinking, “Well, I guess the next step would be a power tool raffle,” you’d be right.

“Hammers for Haiti” is a program sponsored by Western Building Centers of Montana in which helpful residents buy raffle tickets to win a Bosch prize package made of a corded reciprocating saw, angle grinder, worm drive saw and an impact driver.

If any of that made sense to you, this may be the fundraiser you’ve been searching for. All proceeds to go Doctors Without Borders USA to assist with medical relief.

Tickets, which cost $5 for one or $20 for 5, are available at nine WBC stores: Kalispell, Evergreen, Whitefish, Libby, Ronan, Polson, Columbia Falls, Plains and Eureka.

The drawing will be held March 31. You need not be present to win.
